MIDDLETOWN, RHODE ISLAND: During the month of November many of the nation’s 60,000 chiropractors will be holding “Lend a Hand For the Hungry” days in an effort to raise food donations and provide free health services and evaluations to local residents. The food drive program is a concerted effort on behalf of Family Practice Chiropractors nation-wide.

Pruitt Chiropractic (88 East Main Road, Middletown) will host the “Lend a Hand For the Hungry” program locally and act as a drop-spot for the food drive. Residents who donate non-perishable food items at Pruitt Chiropractic from November 15th through the 19th are eligible to receive a free Initial spinal exam and chiropractic adjustment. “Canned food donations will be collected until November 19th, and donations are encouraged whether you want to receive the free health services or not” said Dr. Pruitt.

Last year, the Middletown program was a tremendous success. Patients, staff and visitors at Pruitt Chiropractic collected enough food to feed 66 families, delivering it all to Lucy’s Hearth in Middletown – Newport County’s shelter for homeless women and children. To participate in the food drive or for driving directions and more information contact Pruitt Chiropractic at 401. 847.8889 or visit www.pruittchiropractic.com.
